The town of Newtonmore lies
between Laggan and Kingussie in the west of the Cairngorms National
Park. This little town offers many facilities and accommodation
choices as well as restaurants and things to do.
In particular, the town is
famed for its shinty team. However as a visitor to the area you
will probably be more interested in the many walks and places of
interest that abound this area.
The wild cat trail is a
great wee trail for families allowing the children to spot the
various wild cats which are hidden along the trail.
There is also a bowling
club which is open to visitors and also a local golf club.

Newtonmore has a great living history museum, the highland folk
museum. Visitors to this site can enjoy a wealth of interesting
information and sights.
