Kincraig is a small village
a few miles south of Aviemore and a similar distance north of
Kingussie. It is also at the northern end of Loch Insh.
Loch Insh is quite a large
loch on the River Spey system and provides a spectacular
backdrop for fishing, sailing, canoeing and of course bird
watching.
It is not unusual to see an
Osprey pluck a large trout or salmon from this loch.
The Lochinsh watersports
and activitiy centre is just a mile from Kincraig.
Just a short distance south
of the village towards the town of Kingussie you will find the
Highland Wildlife Park, with Polarbears, Tigers and other exotic
animals roaming in fairly large enclosures. See our Things to do
page fore Kincraig.
