Woodside Bed and Breakfast is situated in the west end of Ballater in a quiet tree-lined road, with comfortable rooms and en-suite facilities, within minutes of excellent restaurants and shops, and is an ideal base for hill walking, cycling, fishing, golfing and historic castles etc.

The house has a large colonial style verandah overlooking the garden and is surrounded by greenery all sides. It is at the start of the Seven Bridges Walk which passes through oak woods and fields to a white pedestrian suspension bridge across the River Dee.

Whether you are searching for a relaxing weekend, a base for touring the highlands or a venue for a special celebration , the Auld Kirk has a team of experienced staff who strive to provide a high level of quality and service. Having only six letting bedrooms enables us to provide a very personal service to our guests. All our bedrooms are on the first floor and all have now been fully refurbished.

Moorside House is an impressive south facing house, which was built as a Manse at the turn of the 19th century. Recently refurbished by the present owners, Pieter and Lea Faber, to enhance the character of the house and retaining many of the original Victorian features, including attractive cornices and pine staircase.

Darroch Learg boasts a fine vantage point above Ballater, on the slopes of Craigendarroch, the rocky 'Hill of Oaks' which creates such a fine backdrop to the village. The paths around the hotel grounds lead directly onto Craigendarroch and the walk to the top or round the hill is among the very best.

Built of local granite in 1886, the house was named after a steamship by its Purser when he retired from the sea. There are a selection of rooms, all excellent quality, with tea and coffee, free-to-view satellite TV and all are non-smoking. All double rooms king size beds, but all have en-suite facilities and are beautifully furnished. A spacious dining room overlooks the front garden.

The Glen Lui Hotel is in a peaceful corner of Ballater Village on Royal Deeside in a tranquil woodland setting with wonderful views across Ballater Golf Course to majestic Lochnagar. The hotel has been owned and run by Gordon and Susan Bell since 2006 and is open throughout the year. The main building of the hotel was originally a private summer residence built by the Stileman family in 1896 and has been a hotel since 1962.

Tangley House Bed & Breakfast is a Victorian property renovated to a high standard. Large en-suite rooms tastefully decorated, with outstanding views There is private parking available. Tangley is a warm and friendly house set in lovely gardens overlooking Craigendarroch Hill It is in easy walking distance of Ballater village centre which offers a varied selection of excellent shops, art galleries & restaurants

The owners, Gordon and Penella, have maintained the character and ambience of the original Victorian house. The entrance hall has its original pitch pine staircase overlooked by a Royal stag’s head from the Glenlivet estate. The welcoming lounge, complete with tartan carpet and Chesterfield sofas, is the ideal place to relax after dinner in front of the log fire.
