Clova, Cairngorm Park, East

The area of Glen Clova is fairly remote and is accessed via the gateway town of Kirriemuir. This area also includes the stunning Glen Doll with its many walks for those that like high level trekking. Also within Glen Doll is the Corrie Fee Nature Reserve.

This part of the National Park is separate from the rest of the park with respect of roads that actually join up with the more traditional visitor areas of the Cairngorms and Grampians. That said however, the trip to Kirriemuir and then to Glen Clova is very rewarding indeed.

Visit our "Mountain" pages to get a full list of the Cairngorms Munros but the popular and easy climbs of Driesh and Mayar are accessible from here.

There are also many excellent walks with forest, hill, corries, and mountain streams. They range from easy to quite strenuous so a nice walk can be found for most occasions and abilities.
