Nethy Bridge, Cairngorms Park, North

A natural settlement established at the river crossing in beautiful Strathspey. Although the village is quite small there are a host of services for accommodation through to dining. The river Nethy of course is a main feature of the area as well as Abernethy forest.

Abernethy forest is an ancient pine forest and is full of wildlife, tracks and interesting areas to explore.

If you love natural woodland this is a great place to enjoy with an extensive network of well marked woodland paths and tracks. Also there is a popular riverside path to enjoy with wildlife never being far away.

Red squirrels are only one of the many wildlife meetings you might enjoy. There are also Pine Martins, Crested Tits, and Capercaillie.

Castle Roy is a magnificent 13th century fortress ruin. The entry to this historic building is free and a great visit for those interested in castles and of course all children.
