This beautiful village not
far from Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park is famous in
particular for two things. One is the steam railway that runs from
here to Aviemore and the other is for its Ospreys.
Nearby Loch Garten and
other small lochs provide the perfect setting for watching
Ospreys when fishing. It is not unusual for these majestic
raptors to be seen snatching a large fish from the waters around
the village.
There is also fishing here
for anglers either on the river Spey or nearby lochs.

The Boat
of Garten golf club has a enviable reputation set as it is
alongside the banks of the river Spey. The golf course also has
two all weather courts available for hire.
