Built in the 1940s,
Dorevay stands in its own 3 acres on the south side of the River Dee. Its
woodland of beech, oak, pine and birch contains varied bird life and red
squirrels with the occasional hedgehog and roe deer when things are quiet. One
wing of Dorvevay has been converted to comfortable self-catering accommodation
for one or two people.
Holmhead stands in 2 acres of its own land, surrounded by trees and forest.
Holmhead is approached off the main A97 via an unmade road used by only one immediate neighbour. Logie Coldstone village is a 2 minutes walk from Holmhead.
Unfortunately the local shop closed some years ago but provisions can be bought at Tarland approx. 5 miles away.
