The river Spey is a large
north flowing river which emanates from the mountains above Fort
Augustus in the Great Glen west of the National Park in Loch
Spey and finds the park's western boundary near Newtonmore. The
river itself is Scotland second Largest and flows for a total of
107 miles with about one third of it in the Cairngorms Park
flowing by Newtonmore, Kingussie, Kincraig, Aviemore, Boat of
Garten, Granton on Spey, and then leaves the park a number of
miles north.
This is one of Scotlands
best fishing rivers and there a numerous beats. For beat
