Below we have put a list
and short description of all the golf courses within the park
(including the gateway towns). There are links on each to the
nearest town or village on this site.
Aboyne Golf
There are two golfing choices in Aboye. The town's course is
quite a short 18 hole golf course but with a few good
challenges. Aboyne is not in the park but is a gateway town on
the eastern approaches on Royal Deeside. A popular retreat for
golfers is
The Lodge on the Loch. Golf Retreat.
Aviemore - Spey Valley Golf
Course
The
Spey Valley golf course at Aviemore is an 18 hole long course of par 72.
It nestles amongst startling Caledonian Pine
forest and along the banks of the River Spey.
This course is considered one of the most scenic
and best designed in Scotland.
Boat of Garten Golf Club
The
Boat of Garten Golf and
Tennis club is only ten minutes from
Aviemore and is in beautiful settings along side
the river Spey with the Cairngorm mountains
providing incredibe scenery. This 18 hole course
is well worth a visit.
Carrbridge Golf Course
Carrbridge Golf Course is another course with spectacular
scenery. There is never a dull moment even if there is a slow
four ball ahead of you. Red squirrels and perhaps an elusive
pinemartin will distract you. Although is is a 9 hole course
doubled up as an 18 it is popular with locals and visitors
alike.
Granton-on-Spey Golf Course
The Granton on Spey Golf Course
developed in 1890 is an 18 hole 5710 yard par 70. Although not
the longest golf course in the Cairngorms Pak it is quite
challenging with the course set partly in undulating parkland
and hilly woodland. As with all the golf courses in this area
the wildlife and scenery is spectacular.
Kingussie Golf Course
Kingussie Golf Course is a
spectacular 18 hole course set in undulating parkland and
woodland.
Newtonmore Golf Course
In the south western side of the Cairngorms park nestles the
Newtonmore Golf Course set along
the banks of the upper River Spey.
